Lord Byron HALLOWEEN

Halloween is a celtic festivity, born to celebrate the end of the summer and the beginning of the winter.
In the origins people put pumpkins in their house to frighten the bad spirits away, but now the pumpkins is only a decoration. At Halloween, peoples make lanterns from pumpkins “The Jack o’ lanterns” to keep the bad spirits away (as well as pumpkins without the lantern inside). They cut a scary face in the pumpkin and put a candle inside it.
Nowdays Halloween is celebrate to recive money, candy and to do ” trick or treat ” with children. They wear scary costumes: suchas witch, ghost, monster a vampire and knock on ‘neighbours’ doors. When the children say ‘Trick or Treat ?’ the neighbours give them sweets. But if teenagers are knocking at the door, they get the jokes or do it.
